Daily Lunch Program Feeding Bodies and Hearts
PMR joined the helping hands of volunteers at The Cathedral of the Assumption and participated in their Daily Lunch Serving program. Our volunteers rolled up their sleeves, helped prep, serve and clean up on 2 afternoons in July. We were very excited to have had the opportunity to work alongside such caring individuals.
Volunteers of America Birthday Party
On June 20th, PMR assembled a group of volunteers to host a Luau themed birthday party at the Volunteers of America – Emergency Shelter. The evening was filled with fun, games and lots of laughter!

Volunteers of America Baby Shower
PMR was excited to host a baby shower for all of the expectant mothers at the Volunteers of America Mid-State, Freedom House on May 11th. Our team provided games, gifts and goodies and smiles were seen all around the room. We look forward to our next adventure with the wonderful team at the VOA.

2018 Don Fightmaster Golf Outing for Exceptional Children
PMR Companies was honored to be a part of the 2018 Don Fightmaster Golf Outing for Exceptional Children again this year. The event was held on May 1st at Long Run Golf Course and was hosted by the Kentucky PGA. I think it is safe to say that the children, volunteers and those observing all had a great time!!
Give A Day
PMR is excited to announce that our employees were able to report 56.5 hours of service to the wonderful City of Louisville during Mayor Fischer’s ‘Give a Day’ Week movement for 2018. Volunteer hours were reported at various Volunteers of America locations, Kids Cancer Alliance and The Cathedral of the Assumption. Thank you to all who participated and thank you to Mayor Fischer for his dedication to making our City the most caring and compassionate in the world!
Volunteers of America
PMR had the honor of working alongside Mrs. Micki Thomas and other Volunteers of America staff to create beautiful artwork on the walls of their new VOA Recovery Campus located on 2nd Street in Louisville. This project was an awesome adventure and we were in awe of the fantastic facility that the VOA has created to service the members of our community. We are thankful for this opportunity and for the partnership that we have created with such phenomenal charity.
Caps for Benches
During the month of February, PMR worked on a special project alongside students at Thomas Moore College to improve “green living” in Kentucky. This project included collecting plastic bottle caps of all shapes and sizes that will evolve into colorful enviro-friendly benches with the help of Greentree plastics. PMR is proud to say that we were able to collect 3,365 caps. We are excited to see the final product!
American Heart Association
National Go Red Day
On February 2, 2018 PMR Companies participated in the 2018 National Go Red Day, supporting the American Heart Association. We displayed our red attire, while raising donations and awareness for living a heart healthy lifestyle. This is the 5th consecutive year that we have participated in this event and strongly support their ongoing mission.
Making a Difference in Lives One Piece at a Time
PMR Companies joined forces in another group fundraiser for the month of June. By donating to the Puzzle Pieces organization, we hope that their goal is realized to add an indoor sensory playground. Best of Luck to the Owensboro group as you continue to do great things for disability awareness!
GOLF EVENT FOR EXCEPTIONAL CHILDREN
Several PMR employees joined other volunteers to assist a great group of kids for a day on the golf course. The opportunity to teach the game of golf and make new friends made for a wonderful day of “Giving Back”!
A MILLION THANKS
PMR Gives Back recently contributed to the A Million Thanks organization and collected 204 cards and letters to be sent to soldiers who are actively serving or have served our country. Bonaventure Place Apartments collected the highest percentage of cards based on number of apartment units. Congratulations to all for a great effort to a great cause!
